Two pints and a packet of protein snacks

All in all a quiet weekend. Things ticking over nicely.

I tried finding a new regular drinking establishment on Saturday night, I figured exploring my home station would be a good place to start, however it belonging to Minmatar Mining Corporation it was not what I was used to to say the least. Lets start with first impressions. To reach the bar I had to wander along several ill lit corridors which have not seen cleaning of any description probably since the Amarr ran this part of the galaxy. The bar itself is only indicated by a small neon sign apart from which it would be indistinguishable from the various offices scattered throughout the station. Inside was a large crowd of Brutors with the occasional group of Krusual scattered around all dressed in drab coveralls and a fine patina of ore dust. Still I plucked up my courage and headed for the serving area. I must admit I was expecting the entire bar to go silent the moment I entered but I recieved not a second glance. Upon reaching the bar I decided to order a couple of pints of the local ale rather than my usual bottle of red.

It was actually rather good.

Now I just need to find out if I can get several casks sent to my offices.

Storm in a Teacup

So the Bloody Hands have struck again. Egged on most likely by the sort of extreme rhetoric spewed out by Ushra'Khan on the intergalactic summit. Already the Empire is locking down the borders even harder. All in all this will make life for honest traders even harder and life for dishonest ones more profitable.

Into the Heart of Darkness

So tower up, BPC's in the works and that means I need datacores. Which means a trip up north to the State, or more accurately to Jita. Still if the isk is going to keep flowing the effort must be made.

I might check out the wine market whilst I'm up there, I'm not hopeful though since this silly little war has kicked off getting high quality Gallente goods at reasonable prices anywhere outside the Fed has been next to impossible. Still it might take the edge off the stress I'll bound to be feeling.

Good News Everyone

So after a long night of labour Völund's Forge is finally up, it should have been up much sooner but for idiotic CONCORD regulations designed to to prevent containers littering up parts of hi sec, anyhow it's up. In this I was assisted by Sara and Lara, though I'll be honest there were time last night when I had serious second thoughts about this little joint venture.

Well here's a snap I took last night

The big ship in the front is the Jötunn, a Charon class freighter and the latest addition to the Kauliford trading fleet.

After all that hard work everyone involved retired to the new corp offices where several cases of best champagne awaited. Suffice to say by this morning none was left.

I don't like Mondays

So the weekend has gone by in a bit of a blur. I had a very pleasant dinner party on Saturday for myself and a very close female friend. However this did involve the consumption of at least 3 bottles of very nice red from the Solitude region. Most people prefer wine from the more established planets in Sinq but I must admit I much prefer Solitude, or even stuff grown outside the Fed entirely. Well surfice to say I woke up yesterday feeling that'd I'd really like not to get out of bed, ever.

However I had to get the Interbus up to Metro for a family gathering where more wine was consumed. I didn't think I was doing too bad till I noticed Sara and Lara giving me dirty looks, though they were already in a bad mood when Rob showed up. It was amusing when he handed over a case of whisky and our doddery old Grandmother asked where he'd found it. I swear there would have been silence for the rest of the event had I not burst out laughing.

I might pop into the Last Gate a bit later. See how he's getting on.

First

Urgh

Awoken feeling slightly bleary eyed today. Not too bad considering.

Anyways after having a fascinating discussion with an attractive young Vherokior last night, regarding the current political situation in New Eden in general and the Republic in particular, I have decided to publish my thoughts for people to read.

At the moment I'm thinking more tea would be a good idea.

Thought for the day

We live in such a complex world that solutions are seldom simple.
